"14th INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION OF ART IN SMALL FORMAT 20X20cm"  2024 

Organization: Association of Galician Portuguese Friendship and Arts (AAAGP)

Opening: September 7, Saturday, at 3:00 pm Location: CAE - Arts Center in Figueira da Foz, Portugal 

Curatorship: Conceição Ruiva - President of the AAAGP Board and Laura Thomas - Treasurer of the AAAGP Board 

Itinerancy: December 7, Saturday, at 3:00 pm - Casa da Cultura de Setúbal, under the guidance of Margarida Rodrigues, president of ARTISET - Setúbal. 

DESCRIPTION 

The Association of Galician Portuguese Friendship and Arts aims to promote artists and creators from around the world in the categories of Painting, Drawing, Engraving, Sculpture, Tapestry, Photography, Ceramics, Stained Glass, Installation, Graphic Design, Computer Graphics, and other techniques, without restrictions on nationality, age, education, or religion. All participating works must be original and not infringe on the rights of third parties. 

The AAAGP invites all national and foreign artists to participate in the 14th International Exhibition of Art in Small Format 20 x 20, aiming to gather the largest number of works of varied styles, techniques, and themes. Works sized 20X20 may be accompanied by a frame or other adornments that highlight their originality, as long as the work itself maintains this measurement. 

HOW TO PARTICIPATE 

Until June 10, 2024, send to asociacion.aaagp.pt@gmail.com - Registration Form and photograph of the artwork. You must mention the price of the artwork if you wish to sell it. The AAAGP will not charge any percentage on the sales value. 

After the exhibition, the artworks will be returned along with a Participation Certificate. For domestic return, the shipping cost is collect. For international return, the cost is 15€. 

PARTICIPATION COSTS 

1 Artwork: 30 Euros (30€ for members)

2 Artworks: 50 Euros (40€ for members)

3 Artworks: 70 Euros (50€ for members) 

4 Artworks: 90 Euros (60€ for members)

5 Artworks: 100 Euros (80€ for members)

ARTWORK SUBMISSION 

August 15, 2024 - Deadline for artwork delivery. It must contain the artist's name, artwork title, and technique.

AWARDS 

In this 14th edition, the Jury for selection and awarding of the competing artworks will be composed of five accredited artists. 

Seven prizes will be awarded:  

1st Prize: Gold Medal and a Diploma  

2nd Prize: Silver Medal and a Diploma  

3rd Prize: Bronze Medal and a  

Diploma Gold Honorable Mention and a  

Diploma Silver Honorable Mention and a  

Diploma Bronze Honorable Mention and a  

Diploma Popularity Prize: Honorable Mention and a Diploma. This prize is awarded by the audience present on the opening day. 

Note: All participating artists will receive an Official Participation Certificate, duly stamped and signed by the Curator and President of the AAAGP Board - Conceição Ruiva. 

PROMOTION 

Book - A book will be published, in A5 size, entitled "14th International Exhibition of Art in Small Format 20 x20 cm". 

Each artist's individual page will feature the photo of the artwork and the website, spreading their name and work to various continents. 

Each artist will receive a free book. The winners of the previous exhibition will be referenced in this edition.  

ADVERTISING 

Creation of a press release for promotion in the media. 

Cultural Agenda of the Arts and Show Center and Tourism of Figueira da Foz. 

Online marketing on art websites, Facebook, Youtube, etc.

Opening and Vernissage on September 7 at 3:00 pm at CAE - Zé Penicheiro Room. Itinerancy: December 7, Saturday, at 3:00 pm - opens at Casa da Cultura de Setúbal, under the guidance of Margarida Rodrigues, president of ARTISET - Setúbal. It will end on December 31, 2024. 

NOTE: 

The Galician Portuguese Art Association is not responsible for damages, losses, damages, thefts, or unforeseen situations during transportation and stay in its possession. 

Any material or monetary benefit will go to the artist. 

It is noted that in case of withdrawal, the expended amount will not be refunded. Only in the case of a plausible justification supported by documentation. Even then, 30% of the paid amount will go to the organization to cover expenses incurred until then. 

A fee of 5€ will be charged for adding a hanger to artworks, as the association does not have the means to do so, resorting to a framing house. 

The Organization reserves the right to deliberate on unforeseen or omitted cases in this Regulation.
